Lake Elsinore Algae Project
Lake Elsinore is a natural freshwater lake in Riverside County, California located east of the Santa Ana Mountains and fed by the San Jacinto River. Originally named Laguna Grande by Spanish explorers, it was renamed for the town of Elsinore, established on its northeastern shore on April 9, 1888. Recently 41,700 acre⋅ft of its water has been contaminated with high potassium, phosphorus, and algae levels contributing to hazardous swimming and boating conditions. Frequently the lake has to be closed to body contact. As a result, J&L has proposed the immediate need for Project CLEAN! Project scope and overview consists of pumping water 50 vertical feet over 5 miles of the original stretch of the now dry Santa Jacinto River bed. This will oxygenate and naturally filter the water to eliminate hazardous contents. Overall project pricing for phase one is set at 50 Million.

For the kids there are kiddie slides, play elements and a 500-gallon tipping bucket on a giant 30-foot play structure.
